Bright tawny color, translucent. Exotic nose with notes of cherry, rhubarb, Asian spice, earth and raspberry. Amazing perfume. In the mouth this shows the 96 vintage battle of fruit vs acidity. Still lots of acidity and structure right now, but the fruit is running second place. Good showing overall tonight. What will this be in 5 years I'm wondering.

Feb 18th, 2018Slight bricking and translucent in the glass. High pitched nose with bing cherries, rhubarb and a little exotic ness like anise. Huge perfume impact. In the mouth, very angular and tight - even with 2+ hrs of air. That 96 acidity still has some power over the fruit. Med plus finish. But oh that nose....
