Cuvée La Tourtine Bandol Mourvedre Blend

From magnum- simply stunning wine and killer with truffle cheeseburgers. Wish I hadn't stopped collecting the Tempier wines a while ago.

This was a brick wall. Intractable with a stiff slap of blood iron and anger. Tasted in blind Mourvèdre flight....so no label love.

A monster! Powerful, intense and concentrated, this wine is a power house. You smell and feel a perfect ripeness with first, a beautiful fig marmalade wrapped in dark, ripe cherry. This is a 2006 vintage and its stills baby. On the palate, tannins are tight, beautiful fruit, liquor like cherry with a deep, profound and voluptuous mouthfeel. This is sexy as hell! Tight now, a beauty in a decade or more. For this price, buy it by the case to be your kids wedding wine....::

Awesome! This has evolved nicely. Still structured but open. Nice mix of fruit and earthier, spicier flavors. I imagine this will drink well for a long time though it’s awfully good now.

Bow before your sensei upon entering the dojo. Still accumulating power as it grows into its destiny as Destroyer of Worlds. Gigaton levels of Giggly-Wiggly accompanied by a robust helping of Snickety Snick. Eat with beef stew or Mom Where's the Meatloaf!!!???

First of five blind Mourvèdres. Not off to a great start. Not giving up anything. Consensus number 5 of 5 and all surprised to see Tempier on reveal.Based on other stellar CT notes, perhaps this was shut down.

Categorically unimpressive.

Yummy! Typical Mourvèdre mouthfeel, still very fresh fruit. Has another 5-10 years easy.

Great density but with floral, feminine aromatics to help it along. One of the most serious red wines made in Provence.
