The Pataille marsannay was one of the first red burgundy’s I really loved many years ago. So fun to come across again (even if it has nearly doubled in price). So much pure juicy red fruit. Very balanced with excellent earth and a long finish with plenty of acid and supple tannins. Quite accessible even at this point, but I’d love to try a few in a couple years.

Pure class. Not too complex. Way better on day 2. Clear ruby. Vanilla bean, raspberry nose. Medium bodied, medium plus acidity, brambly red berry fruit on palate, clean finish, hit of spice.
