Chambers Street got me excited about this producer who is not related or connected with the other Magnien families in Burgundy. The aromatics on this wine permeate their surroundings right out of the bottle and get stronger and more precise over the course of the evening. Perfumed florals & resonant red berry notes. I was surprised by the power on the palate, some darker berry notes hit right away with some silky tannins to frame the sappy, but far from cloying fruit. Texturally, this brings finesse & brightness which augments my salmon & beet salad as well as anything possibly could. A producer well worth paying attention to.
