Very nice. Olive, mint, sous bois on the nose gives way to black cherry. A little Mourvèdre funk. Tart acidity and some dry tannins but everything is in balance. Better-crafted than other Cairannes that I've had. Not much meat, but you might start confusing this with a N. Rhone, as it feels cool.

One of my favorite wines in the world. The perfect GSM blend. Touch of heat out of the bottle but gorgeous fruit, tannin and oodles of complexity.

This has transformed with age. Stunning nose of saddle leather, spices, deep blackberry fruit, loamy minerals, so urgent, so primal. A tiny bit of Brett just makes it that so much more appealing. Almost a bit more Northern Rhone like but also like a fine Bandol because it is 38% Mourvèdre. The nose is one of the best so far this year. Take that 2016! Palate is classic l'ebrescade. Huge yet fresh. Inky and with serious extract but again it is utterly fresh. Very ripe and juicy but this is still a big boy and can go 20 more years. Big tannins and needs a 2 hours decant but a thrilling wine in every way.

Très beau caractère sudiste, encore sur le fruit type cerise avec des notes kirschées. C’est la dernière, dommage car il en a encore sous la pédale
