Ruby red, moderately extracted pigment. Dust and phenol notes in nose. Cherry, tart cherry, unripe cherry and cherry cough syrup flavors all emerge over time. Mild skin astringency. Good fruit, rounded mouthfeel, slightly bitter. Austere and largely unadorned style. Lactic finish emerges after three hours.
