Outstanding smoky nose, lychee, kumquat, strawberries during a rainfall (marcel deiss exclusive note!), marmalade, honeydew melon, kerosene, the panoply of fruit notes goes on... A deep amber color, suggesting a heavyweight sweet wine, but the riveting acid and uncanny finesse of this wine gives it a buoyancy on the palate that is remarkable. Rich and long, seamless tapestry of lychee and marmalade and melon fruit notes, I find I'm running out of the bottle so fast...purchased as the star from the winery 2 years ago, will last easily 15 more years. A star of Alsace!

Golden apple, yellow pear, custard, sea shells, gardenias, saline, smoke. Fresh rounded acidity, rich satin-creamy texture, medium bodied, incredibly long floral-stone fruit slightly off dry finish. Minerality and texture shine, rich floral aromatics without being astringent. Superb!
