Man. Struggled through this bottle. Started off promising but quickly went downhill. VERY unfiltered, as easily seen by the dark, non-evenly distributed clouds that swirled in the glass. I’m getting weary of natural wines lately and this is a good reminder of why. I didn’t get the normal Brettanomyces funk of most natural wines, just an odd/off cherry aroma and some indecipherable floral scents. Candy flavors and a tart-iness that stung my tongue a bit. Jill couldn’t finish her glass, but i powered through two more before giving up.

Syrupy damsons. Booze hit too; this was a 2012 at 13.5% - looks like some years were a little weaker. Just got a free glug of the end of the bottle cos they're nice like that here. And I probably looked like I needed it. Just been on the phone to my mum.
