Power wine: dark fruit, big tannins and cassis. Not too bad for the price, but shorter mouthfeel. Interested to see it evolve now that it’s open

Fresh raspberry bushes.

A big old slap on the palette, powerful and flavorful.
Mint, anise, cherry cola, pepper, and toothpick wood. Lingering tones of blackberry acidity.
A great wine.
Always trust a Eric Solomon selection.

2014. Mélange de grenache, Syrah et mourvèdre. Belle couleur rubis. On dirait une légère odeur de céleri!
Poivré, bien équilibré, facile à boire. À eacheter👍

Tightly wound, nice tannins and minerality with a bristly fruit core. Benefits from lots of breathing time(a day) or pouring back and forth in a couple decanters.

50% #granache 40% #syrah 10% #Mourvêdre

This wine is a deep, inky purple. The cork was stained the same color. The nose is a bomb of plum and blackberry notes with a hint of yeast. The palate is a little peppery at first. I hoped it would settle down with some time in the glass. It didn’t.

Needs some time to open up. Jammy but not too sweet. Gets dryer and more acidic as it opens up.

Beautiful French wine. Smooth from the first sip. Really opens up with some air. Bold tannins with smoky nuances. Long lingering finish.
