This is a massive wine. 15%. Very primary on the nose. Dark blackberry extract, licorice, and a roasted eucalyptus thing. With air, it became a bit more nuanced. A cured beef note became prominent. Staggering intensity in the back half of the palate. Loads of dark licorice and minerals. Despite its high alcohol, I think this will actually improve over the next 5 years. Too young now.

Lots of great spice and pepper. Really robust, leathery, tobacco. Strong finish.
