See previous note from 45 weeks ago. Before tasting this we had finished off the last of a Guigal Côtes du Rhône. The Telegramme was like a CdR with more mid palate fruit, more tar, more savoury and more power. A good but not great wine.

The 2nd wine to Vieux Telegraphe’s famed La Crau. Sweet Grenache raspberry notes on nose and palate. Fresher, more fruit and less savoury than I was expecting, although there is a note of light tar. Tannins are fine and very fluid. Hasn’t got the depth of La Crau. 80% Grenache 10% Syrah 6% Mourvèdre 4% Cinsault.

Very enjoyable CdP, red berries and red cherry galore with a hint of blueberry and finishing with Smokey leather and slight tobacco. The back label recommends drinking young, but I could see it aging well for 5-7 years. That could be considered young for the Rhône valley though 😂

Amazing cdp! Had it at concettas for dinner. Little celebration after a long week. This wine was was very well rounded and a pleasure to drink. Slight fruit and lots of earth. Also that amazing brick ingredient flavor we enjoy very much. Would definitely buy again...

🍇Grenache 80%, Syrah 10%, Mourvèdre 6%, Cinsault 4%.

🍷Tasted in a restaurant right after opening with Vietnamese-Style beef.

The nose is gorgeous and express itself very easily, aromas of red fruits and blueberry with garrigue note and a hint of fresh smokiness. The structure is well balanced between great acidity and precise, smooth tannins. Finish is on deep red fruits. Safe bet! 👌🏻

Full, reflecting both the constituent grapes and the various berries that surround the vineyards. As others have mentioned, the wine is buttressed by strong mineral taste from the shallow limestone under the fields. Altogether a wonder drinking and eating achievement!!
