Deep dark berry pie like very intense and full bodies black spice fresh herbs very intense. Dark berry fruit concentrated and rich with balance and firm acidity.

80% Grenache 20% Syrah. Very nice wine, dark fruit aromas, earthiness, with a little bit of spice and tannins.

Got recommended this wine at Vin Sur Vingt in New York; a tiny and very welcoming wine bar in NYC, stuffed with French wines. The evidence that staff really know what they're talking about: this Gigondas was so great, had to come back a second time for it. Let's just hope I can find a bottle when I get back.
