To quote Stephen Schwartz from his musical Pippen: "Glory, Glory........Glory, Gloooorrrryyy!!!!!" Holy shit. DRC is always last to pick in Montrachet and the wine is expectedly ripe. Almost tropical fruit. Lemon pie. Over a minute long finish. Had almost 5 months ago and can still smell it.

1988. 3L. First glass was v reticent. Second incredibly brilliant: unctuous and savoury. driven by citrus oil/ bergamot notes. A baby, not ready... at least in this format!
