Dendinora
Arnyca Rosé Blend
California, USA

What a way to start off our 2018 Napa trip than with incredible views up at Jack Winery!
Arnyca tastes their wines here, which is a household favorite. The rosé is a top 3 for me, including the Gargiulo Rosato. Kiwi, grapefruit, watermelon and beautiful acidity.

Some bottle age has done this one WELL. Nose is tart strawberry and red licorice. Entry is dense sweet red fruit with great acidity. Almost seems to have a tree nut kind of gritty character moving to the middle. Herbal finish along with both sweet and tart cherry. This one shows 1 or 2 more levels than it did 6 months ago. The complexity demonstrated here is quite nice. Holding the other bottle until Spring!

Nov 15th, 2018Rather intrigued by this wine. The color is quite deep. Definitely more pink than salmon colored. Pours with more of a glass coating thickness than some Rose wines. The wine itself has a great nose of strawberry, and I think I was even detecting some kumquat type of citrus berry. This was really quite identical to the front of this wine, which seemed to be quite ample, with just enough acidity and a very thick mouthfeel. The wine did lean out more to the back, where I was almost getting some Meyer lemon, a little herb, but a lot of acidity finishes this one out. This wine is MUCH more complex when enjoyed at room temp. I served the first half from Coravin as the wife was not drinking tonight......after going back for a second glass, I said WTF and popped the cork. So, I'm quite glad that this is the only bottle of this I have at HOME. Not sure what ABV on this is, but it bites a bit hard. Definitely your summer sipper, not the porch pounder unless your desire is to pass out on the swing. Well done Arnyca.
