Georges Reynaud Crozes Hermitage Syrah

2012 - very deep, broody black fruits with a touch of band-aid to start but clears out with time in glass leaving juicy black fruit, freshly cut charcuterie, garrigue herbs, cracked pepper and bitter liquorice. Shows more red fruit on the palate tannins are supple but with some grip, very well put together.

Good authenticity, bit simple in structure.

Earthy.

Strong nose and tannic

Counter point the a young Cayuse. This was less sulfuric and reductive. Tamer. More fruit, less horse manure. For me, boring in comparison.

Dark fruit on the nose, more fruit + black peppercorn + spice & a lil bitta barnyard to taste. The second half of the bottle was bueno.
