Nice crimson color. On the nose raspberry, plum, cherry, spice, and earth. On the palate plum, blackberry, and strong tannins overwhelm. The finish brings spice, pepper and a gratifying sweet dark fruit and plum.

Nowhere near as Jammy as one would expect given the vintage. Carries the alc well too. Tannins still very firm.

Some wet wood and new oak vanillin notes on nose. Fruit and herbal bouquet not obscured, though. Balanced, jammy attack, with mercifully integrated oak across the palate. Mid palate acid and frothy cocoa. Characteristic graphite and black pepper tooth scraping tannic ripping finish. Modern for sure but still room left for terroir
