Sweet, fruity nose with cherry a the predominant player. Lots of fruit on the palette with chocolate and coffee on the finish. Tannins are still a little young. This will continue to improve for another 5+ years.

I wish this were a better wine. For the price ($40) it should be awesome, but it just isn't. It opens slowly and never really arrives. There is a hint of greatness but no real arrival. It is thin and uninspiring. Some earth, some fruit, but none of the passion and spirit that belongs in a Brunello. Sad.
