For a wine as old as me (1989), this was impressive and still alive. Classic chinon notes of dark, woody flavors. Mushroom and stewed green pepper. The fruit was bramble berries that have begun to take on a unami, savory component. I wish I was around to see it in it's youth just to compare, but shout out to K&L for selling wine this good and this old.
