Last bottle of the case. Thankfully, better than the 11th. If you have any, drink up. Early bottles were fabulous. Great depth and intensity.

1999. See note below on the 2000. First whiff after pulling the cork tells you it's an older wine. Then this unexpected rejuvenation takes place in the next hour or so. You still get a little bit of age on the nose, but not 18 years. The change continues and pretty soon you're hanging out with an electric, sleek, concentrated, reached-the-age-of-majority, big kid. And three hours in the changes continues. So, so happy I have more. They have some years left in them.

Although there are some earthy, mushroom aromas, this wine is so fresh that it's hard to believe it's from sixteen years ago. The tannins are still chewy, the acidity salivating, the fruit ripe and black. A very good and intense example of Petite Sirah.

Extremely mellow and drinking very well and easily. Tannins fully integrated; still plenty of fruit and great balance. 93/94

1999. Brilliant. No signs of this being 20 years old. Just past primary. Elegant. Balanced. Delicious. I think I caught it at its peak. Another gem from one of Napa’s all-time greats. Wow!

Sleek coolness. Elegance. Depth. Graceful concentration. The power and restraint that is a consistent characteristic of Cathy Corison’s wines. Eighteen or 19 years old? Don’t let the label fool you. Not ready for retirement yet. Not by a long shot.

Nice chewy tannins some secondary and tertiary rumors. Not as long as some Cathy's other offerings but still quite good

Cherry, prune, tannins on their last legs but there. Slight oxidation - glad we opened now. Delicious. Thank you Cathy. ### update - just had our last bottle of 2003 at a holiday gathering with friends. A total hit. Still delicious and wonderfully tannic, fruity, and sumptuous.
