Cork in perfect condition. Nose portrays classic sour cherry yet a brooding sense of iron, dried lavender, marjoram and old saddle leather. This wine is amazingly clean and fresh in the mouth built on a drive of acid and light yet integrated tannins leaving a layered velvety finish. The acid really perpetuates this vintages personality and fine-tunes everything into a fresh and persistent personality. Flavors of dark plum and berries, orange peel, licorice, a touch of blood, seared meat and tree bark. Wowzer. In the elite of Montalcino producers, imo.

Very nice with black cherries and a bit of cedar. Had to decant many time to get it open and it just got better and better. Got from Lar’s cellar.

Really excellent. In a perfect drinking window, no decant needed but definitely good with 30 mins in the fridge. A slight touch raisined and secondary but with great medium bodied mouthfeel and excellent acid and earth on the finish. Very nice.
