Everything i hope for from Napa cab without being wildly over ripe. Tons of richness, tobacco, blackberry, tar, black pepper and chocolate on the aromatics with mountains of richness and mid palate on the palate. A phenomenal wine.

PnP. Very dark red, almost purple color. Anise, dark cherries, chocolate, eucalyptus, and alcohol on the nose. Same on the palate with subtle peppermint and oak. Medium plus depth, big wine, but does fade after a few hours open. Very nice but too much alcohol for me.

Not the style I’ve grown to love, nevertheless this American style cab is obviously Bold and Beautiful the way it was intended. It really did have layers, and quite titillating flavors that hewed to the elements called out in the published pro review.
