On the nose burnt tire, wet earth, salt water, black pepper... Opens up every few minutes as it decants for something more. On the palate earth, prunes, almost some pomegranate, tobacco, cracked pepper. Tannat is a heavy grape, and the cab franc in this comes through, whether for better or for worse.
