2009 vintage but still retains a lot of the dark fruit. Spicy and balanced with acidity that keeps its freshness. Nice!

Cab, Carignan , Cinsault, Grenache. Fermented in cement, 9 months in oak. 5 years bottle age before release. Expressive nose, baking spice, juicy blackberry. A delicious wine that leaves you wanting more.

The Grenache is what really stands out here. A little rough and rustic and I like it that way. I've always been a fan of the flagship bottling and it's nice to see that this isn't just an entry level version of it.

Imposing tannins day 1, softened overall day 2 but ripe jammy fruit and tobacco notes came to the front. Definitely a good pairing wine. More enjoyable with solid decant. Missing the forest floor and mushroom of Musar's top offering.

Great fruit, bright and luscious. Finish pulls it all together and leaves you wanting another drink.

It's been more than 12 years since I've had one of these wines. Too long.
