A vibrant, red fruit driven Echo. Nice acidity. Rounds out well.

In a wonderful spot. Decanted a couple hours which was a good call. Still some definite dusty tannins on the finish, but with food it’s a great pairing (specifically beef shank and short rib braised in wine and a lot of aromatics). Certainly Bordeaux. Quite enjoyable. Could go longer.

Better than the last bottle of this we had - really drinking quite well tonight with a 2 hour decant. Great balance of fruit and acid and earth. Slightly ripe and whatnot but with the age things have evened out. Very tasty.

Very nice Bordeaux - second wine of Lynch-Bages. 2009 is obviously a slightly bigger year and that shows through here. It’s a bit too much ripe fruit for a classic Bordeaux. But still a nice wine, with good earth and acid to keep you in the old world. Excellent with a prime strip steak with a wine / shallot / stock / butter / chive pan sauce.

Nice wine. Not much improved from 18 months ago when we had last, but still classic and nice. I don’t think there is a huge reason to wait but I suppose it could gain some seamless ness with a bit more age. Decanted 3h which I recommend.

Classic Bordeaux in the way that you want. With 11 years of age this is showing well. Suggest decanting for at least 2 hours. Deep crimson color, tannins are still there but in a good place. Restrained fruit, heavy earth. Nice wine and great with hanger steaks.
