2015 vintage. Philippe Herbouet ( Château Clos du Roy) bought this estate in 2000 and replanted in 2001 and 2003. Mainly Merlot (85%) with Cabernet Sauvignon. Around 40000 bottles are produced on 20 hectares of vines. More sandy soils compared to Clos du Roy, producing wines that are a bit lighter,to be enjoyed younger. But as this 2015 ( an exceptional vintage on the right bank) proves, they are also age worthy. Fully mature, and a lot of pleasure for very little money. A little heat from the alcohol (Abv. 14%) in the finish, but no complaints at this price.
