Should've known. La Mission Haut Brion Blanc is the ultimate glazed ham wine. Fantastic combo. White Bordeaux is too under appreciated. And so versatile. The richness of the 09 vintage hasn't made this over the top. But just the right amount of decadence for a meal like this.

Too young to enjoy. My fault for being tempted to open it early. Getting punched in the face with intensity, despite 3-4 hours of decanting. Give it another 10 years
