Feel like this hasn’t moved and inch since LBT, perhaps the fruit beginning to dry out some more. Roasted-ripe black fruit, sanguine, beef jerky, fur, tar, menthol, hot stones, fennel seed and dried herb, ash. The mid-palate fruit density offers up CNDP suggestions but it’s brute tannin and power remind of Bandol. A unique expression as always. Lamb loin, charred eggplants and jimmy nards, harissa honey and herbed yogurt was a success.

Wild, rustic, and earthy complexities meet intrigue and polish. Multifaceted with plenty of charm.

Dusty tannin. Juicy blackberry, iron, a tad of Anise on the palate. Big wine but this 2011 vintage drunk in 2016 is well balanced and not tiring and delicious.
