Tried another bottle. Better cork. And nicer flavors. Oldie but goodie? Been a minute since 2001…
Nice dark brick color. Still pretty dark though. Smells like that berry sauce and olives deal that good Bordeaux always seems to rock. Flavors are nice. Dense berries, wet rocks, olive pits. It’s aged beautifully. Complex and interesting.

20 year old Bordeaux! Cork shattered on opening. It’s a murky strange color of brick red. Needs decanting. Smells kinda funky. With a sharp vinegar side to that funk. Has the classic aged cab and merlot flavors though. Like old books and cherry chocolate candies. Warm. Complex. Tastes old, because well it is old. Plenty of acid and zip though. This held up well and is right in that wheelhouse for ‘aged fine wines’.
