The 2008 vintage tasted in 2015 appeared ruby red and crystal clear. The cork was saturated half way and displayed a full layer of crystals on the inner surface. This grand vin de Botdeaux is classic "entre deux mers" ABC (appellation Bordeaux controlee) expression of terroir. Medium acidity and fruit and tannins. Well balanced yet would have been more fruit a year ago. Earthy aromas are dominant with red berry fruit in the nose and palate. Juicy mouthfeel with persistence of strawberry and medium finish. Recommend immediate consumption before decline.
