A nice deep and darker red/purple color, this is medium in body. It has licorice and cassis on the nose and well melded into the palate. The fruit is a harmonious blend of both red and black, fairly pure with reasonable depth. Easy on the finish and all around balanced. Makes for pleasant drinking and paired well with our lunch even though we had fish. It did not over power and remained well grounded. RP 86 / WS 89
