Faded pyrazines in the nose that grow in the finish. Stewed black fruit, beautiful aged wine with so much life left.

Tasted 6 bottles back to back with zero bottle variance. Savory, singed cedar, hoisin, and intensely aromatic. Plenty of time left.

Very nice aged Bordeaux. Probably slightly better a few years ago but not necessarily over the hill. Excellent aromatics, super smooth tannins, lots of secondary flavors. Great pairing with chicken at Le coq rico.

This was a treat. Started off with no fruit on the palate, with great leather and earth flavors front and center. After a bit of time out of the bottle, the dark fruit started to come alive. Silky, balanced, and well-structured.

Dinner at Christophe Coperet's house. He opened some delicious bottles:
Champagne Tarlant - la matinale - 2003
Sauternes - Château Yquem - 1981 (this was ridiculously good)
St Julien - Château Branaire Ducru - 2008
St Julien - Château Talbot - 1998
St Julien - Château Beychevelle - 1988
Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "La Combe d'Orveau" - Domaine Henri Perrot Minot - 1998 (my favorite of the list)
Pouilly Fuisse - Domaine Corsin - 1998.
