Rogue Valley OR, though Rouge Valley sounds like it’s worth a visit as well. This vintage is 100% Tannat, 11.44% alc/vol. Bought at Teutonic, Portland OR. Ruby red, light to moderately extracted pigment. Light plum aroma, plum and cherry with length in mouth. Tight, tart, almost astringent due to tannins and acid initially. After 20 minutes, red fruit flavor with depth emerges, lots of it, especially cherry, plum and cranberry. Remains tart, with light fine-grained tannins in finish. Fruit intensity, alas, declines rapidly.
