Moderately opaque reddish purple in the glass with aromas of red berries, dried flowers, and earth as well as moderate oak influence. This is a pretty wine on the palate with good acidity and a somewhat mineral finish. Burgundian in style, it is made from grapes grown in Chalone's limestone terroir.
