Cigar box, dried herbs and violets with hints of bell peppers. Intriguing wine but a tad bit disjointed.

Good value for this cab. Best with a heavy plate

Won't back down from any plate. Needs to breathe substantially. Spice, berries, and a little cocoa on the back.

Thoroughly okay. It wasn't bold or full of flavor. It wasn't as rich and full bodied as a cab that I would consider berry rich. It was just okay. I definitely would not buy again or spend the money. Just meh.

After a few disappointing bottles lately this is a refreshing return to a classic Cabernet. Licorice and blackberry stand out on the nose and the mouth feel is surprising from a wine of this age. Minimal acidity and a lingering finish leaves you wanting more. A nice reasonable offering from Maipe.
