C.G. Di Arie Sierra Foothills Syrah 2006: Medium-full bodied. Medium soft tannins. Good balance. Bold fruit flavors of blackberry & plum followed by chocolate, cedar, smoke & spice. The finish was long & persistent. For me, this was a beautiful expression of the Syrah grape (small production of only 525 cases). So much more flavor & brightness than I expected after 15+ years. Absolutely delicious and paired nicely with a grilled ribeye steak. Cheers🍷
