This strangely beautiful wine! Saline, savory, slightly oxidized, surprising, all salient descriptors for a wine that tastes of olives & thyme, faded leather, and marjoram wafting up over scrambled eggs. I actually swooned...made in concrete, aged in that for 3 yrs, then barrel-aged 2 more years. Weird and definitely wonderful!

Totally digging where this wine is right now. Full bodied and open/inviting. Lush dark red fruits with toasty oak and a long lingering finish. I will look for this again!

Great food wine. Begs for something rich.

Fresh, sun-ripened blackcherries and freshly-picked thyme are upheld by aged leather, black peppercorn, and subtle pinecone and mesquite bark. Fresh plums and dates gush onto the palate, which give way to ripe Kalamata olives, brine and wet basalt, velvety tannins coming in on a short finish. Full yet lithe, fresh but aged, it is a great sipper wine.

This wine has aged well. Beautiful garnet colour. Almond and dried fruits on the nose. Slight oxidation melts its tannins and gives this wine its nutty and savoury flavour. Be careful when decanting: it does not need much more oxygen. Drink now before it gets too oxidised. Pairs well with aged cheese.

Interesting, aged. Drinking well now, but not for much longer.
