In a sea of blockbuster wines and no knowledge of dining companions price point, this was ended up being a diamond in the rough. Cherry, herb, bright red fruit, with medium body, and medium acidity. Made a great pairing to the rabbit ragu. For a reasonable bottle this really performed.

Medium body with good fruit. Not too tannic at all with a nice clean finish. Tiny bit of funk. Good complement with pork. Not overpowering.

Lots of tannins, but opened up quickly. Worked well on NYE with duck breast and white truffle sausage.
