Great Wine Spectator recommendation! 30+ minute decant. Dark red color. Blackberry and dark cherries on the nose. Wine is elegant with integrated tannins. Medium finish. Excellent QPR @ £23. Exceeded expectations.

Still bright and the tannins are more tame than 2015. Meaty nose, less fruit.

Strong almost smokey sweet on the nose and first impression for me. Then it smooths out very well but still strong dark berries. Has an easy transition to a mineral yet sweet peak along w a soft enough end for my preference. I had a hard time putting the glass down last night. 30 min decant worked wonders.

Visited this winery by random driving through Tuscany on our honeymoon. Drinking on 11 year anniversary. Great dark fruits, flint, tobacco, herbs, basically everything you want from Chianti. Could use another few years in bottle to integrate.
