2009 - reading the comments here I expected a tightly-closed, tannic monster. Even out waiter brought a decanter with him. However, this was everything I look for in 8-10 year old barbaresco: plush, "feminine", and balanced. Roses, cedar chest, cloves, black cassis, ripe, red cherry, sweet tobacco and wet leaves. Absolutely lovely!
