Decanted for 24 hrs. Didn't gain from that. Totally ok.

Oak is still pronounced and the tannins are big. The fruit is there but not playing a big role. Wait a few more years and hope this balances out.

After an encounter during a tasting some 7 years ago, I decided to bury my bottles way back in my cellar.
Today, this is an unusually dark, concentrated and brooding Chianti. Notes of scorched earth, graphite, dark fruit, ink, Aceto Balsamico, dried herbs and Cuban cigars dominate the nose. The palate is extremely well balanced and the finish long and rewarding, while high levels of ripe soft tannines and mellow acidity provide structure.
Magnificent.

At a perfect point in its development. Still, give this tons of time.

Gorgeous complex wine. Soaring aromatics of sappy cherry fruit. Earth, a hint of road tar, fairly tart with grippy tannins. Should hold for years.

Gorgeous! Gorgeous! Gorgeous! Everything one could ever want from CCR! Rich, deep. Very long. Complex. Cherry, damp earth. Nice bite just in front of the finish. Layers. Glad I have 2 more left.

Seriös Chianti Classico från single vineyard-läge. Väldigt aromatisk med chark- och lakritsnoter. Druvtypiska körsbärsdrag med rejäla tanniner. Eldigt intensiv. 11 år fortfarande krallig. Synd att man inte kunnat/vågat köra 100% sangiovese.
