Classic from an exceptional vintage. Good fruit and balance for it’s age. Nice with pasta dish from our kitchen.

Lovely. Sweeter fruit than the 1999. Tannins are more resolved. Herbal, resiny, cherry, earth. I love Il Poggio!

Good bottle, I have had better.

Much better with food. Very earthy. Smells of mushrooms and forest floor. Pleasant tannins and spices. Some bright cherries. Briny/herbal. Great with pesto and balsamic.

Representive bottle?

A touch of VA/nail polish. But overall a nice bottle. Red fruit, a touch dominated by acidity.

Great color. Tasting mature, but in a very positive way. Aged perfectly.
