The Black Stump Durif Shiraz

Shallow and weak. For a Shiraz, this is way too light bodied and lacking in punch and flavor. It’s a Pinot noir body and a Merlot taste.

Really quaffable. Easy to drink the whole bottle without realising it.

Color is bloody, ruby, a bit cloudy with a touch of purple. Nose of milky cannula, cherry, rose, and a bit menthol. Tasty is also very silky, sweet from ripe grapes and vanilla, chocolate, good backbone of acidity, quite smooth and no edge. Aftertaste of some more chocolate and smooth mouthfeel. Not bad.

Very strong Madagascar vanilla taste with after notes of spice. Small hint of berry. Makes a surprisingly pleasant wine to have with a fruity dessert or to simply enjoy after dinner
