An explosion of sodas greet the nose: cherry cola, Dr. Pepper and even a bit of strawberry soda. You can almost swear there are bubbles tickling your nose - a wholly unique experience in my personal wine tasting. A touch of wet earth in the background, as well as licorice and white pepper. I literally smelled the wine for 10 minutes before I even took a sip. The palette, although quite delicate in style, bursts fourth with ripe strawberries and red cherries, plus a touch of rose petals. Silky smooth , but lacking in complexity, the finish is fleeting at best. With around eight years in the bottle already, this one has probably peaked and is starting back down the other side of the hill. Still very much worth the price of admission.
