This is a surprisingly elegant wine for its youthful age. Medium garnet in color with lovely aroma of fresh and dried rose petal,violet, black cherry, red currant, leather, forest floor, dried orange peel, cranberry. Great complexity but the most surprising element is how well the fine grained tannins balance with the primary and tertiary aroma and flavors. The medium plus acidity helps provide excellent structure. An excellent wine from a difficult year. Enjoyable now and a long future ahead.
