On the nose, beautiful ruby dark currants/cassis, dark, mulberry, strawberries, creamy raspberries, fresh floral bouquet, vanilla, cinnamon, touch of clove, dark spice, dark rich soils, violets, lavender and fresh dark florals.
The body is magnificent, soft, round and elegant. Really fresh bright florals. Soft, gentle spice. Ruby fruits of; blackberries, dark cherries, plum, black raspberries and creamy raspberries. Crush rocks, soft, delicate volcanic minerals with fresh, beautiful dark red, blue & purple florals. Perfect acidity with a long gorgeous, lush, ruby, elegant fruit driven finish.

Very nice. Give this a lot of air and you’ll be rewarded. Have to shed off the initial baby fat (very fruity). 96-97

See how this develops with air but already delicious on opening. Love the spice. This has always been one of my favorites from the Carter line-up. 96-97

Mar 13th, 201996+ This is the bomb. This has delivered every vintage for me starting in 2013. So much structure. The piedras la bam is very dense and cant wait to try that at home after some time. The three kings again suits my palate. It's more elegant and structured than the sweet fruit of the grand daddy. Both are dynamite but I prefer the clone 7 over clone 4. The hossfield coliseum is a great value merlot. The fortuna is fruity and soft, but i personally am paying more for the weitz.
