100 points. 100 proof. Not for me, but well made. Very opulent and coating. Not recommended with food except peppery steak cooked mid-rare.

My first time with Cardinale with age. Surprised to see this come together as I really don't like them much in their youth.

Earthy, leather with bold structure. Dark fruit playing way back, prevalent acid.

Had to go with a sure thing after a mis fire last night. Love the nose on this sucker- nice sweet blue fruits. The palate is intense with blackberries, leather and baking spices. Nice dry finish with plenty of tannin left. In my view this has the best of both old and new world traits. Plenty of fruit without the bomb.
