Barco Reale di Carmignano Sangiovese Blend

A little high and dry day 1, day 2 more fleshed out and pretty damn good. Good value.

For our Italian Dinner Party, enjoying this Tuscan Carmignano hand crafted on an ancient Medici Estate. Well rounded body, full of spice and earthy flavors complimented by subtle plum and cedar flavors. Paired well with prosciutto and drunken olives.

Modern style. Bit of funk.

Well balanced wine showing mostly Sangiovese traits. Had some nice weight without being overly heavy.

Second time around. Talk about value.

At first taste harsh. Opened up. Nice.

Raisin and something kinda funky with smells of seabed floor on the nose, raisin and dark fruit, dried herbs, definite presence of oak, medium grip.

Intense flavor, good value

Grippy tannins and bright acidity with dark berry flavors and slight oak. Pretty impressive value.

Good QPR.
