This is really terrific. Full bodied, lots of dark cherry fruit, smooth tannins, and a velvety finish. Surprisingly, almost no sediment at age 12.

This was supposed to be a phenomenal wine when it was released, but does not overly impress 10 years on. Nice, solid brunello but pales in comparison to this winery's 2004 and 1998 riserva brunellos.
