Wonderful fresh fruits with earth to balance. I pick up some nice black pepper notes on the nose. The mouth feel is velvet with smooth intense tannins. It’s heavy fruit forward with easy transition to a touch of spice finish. Overall a very nice wine.

Haven’t had with food. However, very pleasant; smooth, sweet and round rich fruity body, with an earthy, peppery dry finish. The fruit notes are not light, they are very deep and rich, almost plum.

Fruity fullness, did not notice signs of mocha but definitely vanilla finish after a bold berry start. Drank solo with no food, went down easy between two people.

2016 vintage on 9/30/17. Enjoyed very much. Have another bottle that I think we'll hold on to for another year. Will be that much better.
