Delicious bottle right here. Not as good as the first but still amazing juice. Beautiful decaying leaves on the nose with a southern Rhone a la Rayas palate.

Burgundian/leafy nose, dried cherries, prune, spice and slightly underripe blueberries on the palate. Surprisingly big tannin and acid at the end that cleans everything up. Had that classic Mt. Harlan limestone freshness. Love CALERA. 1996 vintage.

Dust and spice on the nose, fresh red fruit throughout, cranberries, acid still prominent and even a bit of tannin. Still has cellar time left in it. It's an amazing 1996!
